John is a global retail leader and the founder of Liminal, a strategic advisory and insight practice focused on cross-border retail growth and partnership development. He works with brands, operators, landlords, and investors to navigate complex expansion decisions. Liminal combines industry intelligence with commercial pragmatism—connecting decision-makers, identifying opportunity, and shaping strategies that translate ambition into capable, sustainable growth.

John is also the co-founder of the World Brand Partnership Forum, a global community platform for business leaders focused on partnership development and market growth, in association with the World Retail Congress. He serves as an ambassador for Mapic, is a former member of the European ICSC Advisory Board, and is a member of the Twenty Club, a private members’ dining club for the UK’s senior retail leaders.
