Simon Mitchell co-founded Sybarite with Torquil McIntosh in 2002, establishing the practice as a global leader in retail architecture and design, with an expanding portfolio across hospitality and lifestyle. Renowned for his collaborative leadership style, Simon has helped shape Sybarite’s culture, placing creativity, innovation and work-life balance at its heart.

Under his leadership, Sybarite has delivered more than 3,500 projects worldwide for many of the world’s most prestigious brands, including LVMH, Ferrari, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Fenwick and Marni. The practice is internationally recognised for its transformative work with SKP in China, successfully repositioning Shin Kong Place into one of the world’s leading luxury department store brands, alongside the creation of the next-generation retail concept, SKP-S.

Simon works closely with major developers and retail groups across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including CR Land, Central Group, Swire and Hongkong Land. He is also a respected speaker, industry thought leader and business mentor.
